It all began over 45 Years ago when a trained printer (my grandfather) started a business setting type. With the invention of the word processor setting type became obsolete.
So, he sold his business to his son (my dad) who turned it into a rubber stamp & sign company in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah for the next 30 years.
The new owner's daughters always asked their dad why he didn't sell any "cute" or "fun" stamps. Then, when they were old enough, they decided to create an online business for the "cute" and the "fun" and to manufacture in partnership with their dad's company.
The Print Mint on Etsy was born in May 2013 by sisters Shelley and Nicole!
In 2019, the main business was sold so my dad could retire. Fortunately, we were able to retain The Print Mint portion of the business. Now it's just me, Shelley, and my "minions": the semi-retired parents, aunt in finances, and our production guy. And the whole operation is run out of my parents basement- in the very bedrooms that my sister and I had growing up!
